After 27 years as Of Counsel to Rottenberg Lipman Rich, Mark is now the head of the firm’s Matrimonial and Family Law Practice Group. With over 35 years of experience practicing matrimonial and family law, Mark has extensive trial experience, including favorable decisions in equitable distribution, child support, spousal maintenance, and child custody cases. Mark also has extensive appellate experience, including successfully arguing at the Court of Appeals, the leading child support case Bast v. Rossoff. Mark has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” every year since 2014.
Mark graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. summa cum laude in 1977 and received his J.D. from the American University Law School in 1980.
Following law school, Mark served as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County (1980-1985), where he was a Senior Trial Attorney in the Sex Crimes Bureau (1984-1985), including successfully obtaining jury convictions in 24 of 25 trials. While serving as an Assistant District Attorney, Mark met his wife, Susan, who was working as an attorney with juvenile offenders and in the Domestic Violence Bureau. Together they have raised three boys, two of them practicing attorneys at major New York law firms and one with special needs.
