EMPLOYMENT LAW
Rottenberg Lipman Rich’s Employment Law practice is unique in that our attorneys represent employers and executives in all aspects of the employer/employee relationship.
Representing Employers
Clients rely on us to help them develop compliant employment processes and procedures, including job posting and interviewing, training, job performance reviews, and promotion, termination, and post-termination dispute resolution, litigation, and arbitration. Rottenberg Lipman Rich attorneys advise clients on best practices and, when necessary, defend companies against claims for sexual harassment and other forms of employment discrimination under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), as well as claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
Rottenberg Lipman Rich regularly counsels companies in structuring employment agreements, creating employee manuals and handbooks, and addressing executive compensation, wrongful discharge, plant closings, downsizing and workforce restructuring, noncompetition and trade secrets agreements and litigation, and employment-related torts.
Representing Employees
Rottenberg Lipman Rich also has a long history and active current practice of protecting the interests of employees, such as Wall Street executives, investment bankers, traders, and hedge-fund professionals, in connection with employment agreements and employment-related matters spanning complex compensation and non-compete issues, as well as severance and termination matters, including matters involving claims for employment discrimination and other forms of company misconduct. In the employment arena, as in others, Rottenberg Lipman Rich handles each matter in accordance with the client’s needs and objectives; and while avoiding legal action is often the desired goal, the firm’s litigators are experienced trial lawyers and, where necessary, prosecute and defend claims on behalf of employee clients in arbitration forums and court.
